When I opened my eyes, I remembered I had to breathe....and the thought crossed my mind “do I want to?” The voice in my head said, “you have a choice you know.”

There comes a time in life.. on some level that we are at this place. How did I get here? Why did this happen? What is next? There are so many more questions than answers.

My life, looking from the outside in, appeared to others as pretty normal. Yes, some big bumps, but by and large a rather regular life. My life looking from the inside out was a constant struggle of unworthiness, not smart enough, not quick-witted enough, not pretty enough not, not, not, not!! I always felt a step behind or even sideways.

On the inside, where I lived, I had an okay childhood. School was always a struggle as I learned to stay in line, color inside the lines, sit still, do not talk, laugh only at recess and for goodness sake do not make a spectacle of your self. The rules and competition just seemed to increase every year from there. Work harder and stay cool. I married at 19, had two beautiful, amazing daughters and thought this was life. That life ended in divorce with deep pain and long sadness. A second try at marriage was good with the same struggles inside. The Successful business carried the same struggles and ended in bankruptcy coupled with my husband's sudden death.

The question “do I want to do this?“ “You have a choice you know.” Actually I was not really sure that I had a choice. I was told from a very young age what I was to be, do and think. Go and play....no running. Color, no not like that. Make friends, no.. not with those people. Read faster, don’t make mistakes. The repetition of thoughts become patterns, and the patterns become behaviors. These behaviors become our personality....our personal reality.

For the last eight years, I have read, listened, and studied to discover how the body functions physically. Why is this not taught in grade school? How when we eat an apple how it breaks down through this magnificent body to create the energy for our eyes to blink, to beat our heart and play football. Five years later I received my degree as a Nutritional Endocrinologist Practitioner. This study tied together for me the effects of balance of sleep, exercise, nutrition, stress, environment, values and just plain fun.

While working with clients, it became very clear that the education of all of these areas was important, although there was another factor missing. For long term success, just following the rules would not ensure sustainability. Eating celery, drinking water, working out 5X a week and consistently deflecting rude coworkers and challenging family members, is not sustainable with will power and a support group.

Back to the books, study, observe and learn from another direction for three more years.

The mind has about 2,500 thoughts an hour, or around 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts a day. With our cutting edge technology and research, it reveals that 90% of those thoughts are the same thoughts we think every day, and many are from the day before and the week before and even years before. Also, 80% of these thoughts are negative thoughts. Those are some pretty serious odds to go up against to try to make life changes. And the kicker is that these thoughts are the ones that have been obviously repeated that become the patterns that become the behaviors that are our personality ...our personal reality.

Now we are getting to the root of all of this. If the diet, exercise, sleep, etc. are adjusted without changing the thought process, what do you think the outcome will be. Starting the day with the same thought of the past (which we do, that are negative) we are now creating the same predictable future with the habits that reinforce it. The very best news is that this can be addressed and changed.

The balance of daily life functions and daily life thoughts is truly the choice. Make those choices about your weight, energy level, anger outbursts, depression, relationships actually stick this time. This program begins exactly where you are, at your speed, on the day and time that you want to do the work.
